Wild Pines Marketplace
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Wild Pines Marketplace ("Wild Pines") provides Buyer Protection through an automated delivery, inspection, and transaction-resolution process for purchases completed and paid for through the Wild Pines Platform.
The standard process preserves a written record and holds seller proceeds for the stated time, but does not make Wild Pines a routine referee of ordinary item-condition or buyer-remorse disagreements.
This policy forms part of the Wild Pines Terms of Service.
Buyer Protection applies only to eligible purchases completed through Wild Pines using Wild Pines checkout and approved payment systems.
Transactions completed outside Wild Pines, including payments sent directly between users to avoid the Platform, are not eligible for Wild Pines Buyer Protection.
A buyer may report a transaction problem when:
An item is materially not as described when there is a significant difference between the item received and the listing that would reasonably have affected the purchasing decision.
Examples may include:
Minor cosmetic differences, reasonable signs of use consistent with the disclosed condition, or subjective dissatisfaction generally do not constitute a material misdescription.
Unless the seller expressly offers discretionary returns or applicable law requires otherwise, Wild Pines does not guarantee a return or refund because a buyer changed their mind, no longer wants the item, found another item, ordered the wrong size despite accurate listing information, or otherwise experiences buyer's remorse.
Individual sellers may voluntarily offer broader return rights. Any seller-provided return terms must be clearly disclosed and may not reduce rights required by applicable law.
For carrier-tracked shipping, a carrier-confirmed delivered status for the complete order begins a 48-hour inspection window. Buyers should inspect merchandise during that window.
If a problem exists, the buyer should preserve the item, packaging, shipping label, photographs, tracking information, and other evidence relevant to the transaction until the matter is resolved.
Buyers should not alter, repair, discard, consume, destroy, or materially modify disputed merchandise when doing so would prevent a direct resolution, carrier process, payment-provider process, or legally required review, unless necessary for safety or required by law.
Buyers must report qualifying transaction problems through the Wild Pines order system within the 48-hour inspection window after a carrier-confirmed delivery of the complete order.
Reporting an issue freezes the seller's proceeds while the buyer and seller have 72 hours to work out a resolution in writing. During that time, the buyer may withdraw the issue or the seller may voluntarily approve a full refund to the original payment method. If neither occurs, the seller's proceeds become eligible automatically.
The standard transaction process does not offer a paid Wild Pines case-review service. It records the parties' written resolution and applies the timed outcome above; it does not decide ordinary disputes about condition, description, or buyer's remorse.
A buyer should provide the order number, identify the affected item, describe the problem accurately, and provide reasonably requested evidence.
Both parties should preserve relevant information, including:
This information can help the parties resolve an issue directly and may be needed for a carrier, payment-provider, fraud, safety, or legal process.
The automated inspection window starts only when the carrier records delivery for the complete order. For multi-package orders, every tracked package must be delivered before that window begins.
A buyer who reports non-delivery during the inspection window should preserve the tracking details and work directly with the seller during the self-resolution window.
Some purchases may be sold as one listing unit or complete set while being shipped in multiple physical packages.
Wild Pines may display package-level progress such as "2 of 4 packages delivered."
Partial package delivery does not necessarily mean the complete order has been delivered. Wild Pines may keep an order in a shipped or partially delivered state until all required packages are delivered or otherwise resolved.
Buyers should photograph shipping damage, the merchandise, interior packaging, exterior packaging, and shipping labels before discarding packaging.
Buyers and sellers may work directly with the applicable carrier or shipping provider when a carrier claim is appropriate.
Buyers should retain damaged merchandise and packaging while the parties, carrier, payment provider, or other applicable process is unresolved.
Wild Pines prohibits counterfeit merchandise.
Buyers and sellers should preserve photographs, serial information, receipts, and authentication evidence when authenticity is disputed.
Wild Pines may restrict the seller or listing while a credible counterfeit claim is investigated.
Sellers must use the written transaction record in good faith during the 72-hour self-resolution window.
A seller may voluntarily approve a full refund in the transaction record. If the issue remains open when the window closes, the automated process releases seller proceeds under the stated terms.
The automated transaction process provides these standard outcomes:
The standard automated process does not issue return labels or decide whether a return is required. Buyers and sellers may arrange a return directly in writing where lawful and appropriate.
A buyer returning an item directly to a seller must return the correct merchandise in substantially the condition in which it was received, except for changes reasonably necessary to inspect the item or document the reported problem.
Buyers may not substitute another item, intentionally damage merchandise, remove components, or return an incomplete item.
The buyer and seller decide return-shipping responsibility in their direct written arrangement, subject to applicable law and disclosed seller terms.
Wild Pines does not provide return labels or allocate return-shipping costs through the standard automated transaction process.
Voluntary change-of-mind returns offered by a seller may be subject to the seller's disclosed return-shipping terms.
A seller-approved full refund is returned through the original payment method, subject to the applicable payment provider and law.
After a refund is initiated, the time required for funds to appear may depend on Stripe, the card network, bank, or other financial institution involved.
A seller-approved full refund returns the original checkout amount. Other refund rights and obligations depend on applicable law and the transaction circumstances.
Wild Pines will not characterize a charge as nonrefundable where applicable law requires it to be refunded.
A party sending a return under a direct arrangement should retain the carrier receipt, tracking number, and proof of shipment.
The parties may use tracking and carrier information to address a return shipment that is lost or damaged in transit.
The automated process does not decide which party is right in an ordinary condition, description, delivery, return, or buyer-remorse disagreement. It preserves the written record, holds proceeds for the stated period, and applies the stated timed outcome. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
Buyer Protection may not be used to obtain merchandise without payment, retain both merchandise and a refund improperly, substitute returned items, manufacture damage, make knowingly false non-delivery claims, or otherwise defraud a seller or Wild Pines.
Wild Pines may restrict or terminate accounts involved in material or repeated Buyer Protection abuse and may preserve or disclose relevant information when permitted or required by law.
Sellers may not use false tracking, empty packages, substituted merchandise, counterfeit products, materially deceptive listings, or other methods to defeat Buyer Protection.
Wild Pines may cancel transactions, refund buyers, hold or reverse eligible seller proceeds, restrict listings, or suspend or terminate accounts when supported by the transaction record and permitted by applicable law.
Buyers should use the Wild Pines transaction-resolution process when reasonably possible before initiating an external payment dispute.
Nothing in this policy eliminates chargeback or payment-dispute rights that a buyer has under applicable law or card-network rules.
Knowingly false, fraudulent, or intentionally duplicative disputes are prohibited.
Wild Pines may occasionally subsidize or discount shipping for eligible transactions.
A buyer being charged $0 or a discounted amount for shipping does not mean the carrier transported the package without cost. Wild Pines or another authorized promotion may cover some or all of the applicable shipping charge.
Promotional shipping may be subject to eligibility requirements, package limits, maximum subsidy amounts, order-value requirements, first-purchase requirements, promotional periods, or other disclosed conditions.
Wild Pines may allow sellers to voluntarily fund shipping discounts, promotions, expanded return rights, or other buyer incentives.
Any such program will be governed by the terms displayed when the seller elects to participate.
This policy does not waive consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Where applicable law provides greater protection than this policy, Wild Pines will apply the legally required protection.
Wild Pines operates the automated transaction record, delivery-based inspection hold, and existing payment safeguards. Wild Pines may take account, fraud, safety, payment-provider, or legally required action outside the standard self-resolution flow.
Wild Pines' administration of this process does not make Wild Pines the seller, manufacturer, carrier, insurer, owner, guarantor, or routine merits-adjudicator of third-party merchandise. The automated process is a Platform record and timed proceeds-eligibility process; it is not an inspection, warranty, insurance product, or promise that either party's position will be correct.
Wild Pines may take reasonable account action when a buyer or seller materially or repeatedly abuses transaction protections, violates marketplace rules, engages in fraud, or creates substantial safety or payment risk.
Wild Pines may update this policy prospectively as the marketplace, shipping programs, legal requirements, or Buyer Protection services evolve.
Material changes will be communicated when required by applicable law.
Buyers and sellers should use the applicable order's "Report a Problem" or support function whenever available so the transaction can be identified correctly.
